It rained today and I'm under the weather. Folks at work, including me, agreed to go to the Olive Garden on HWY 64. Last time, the service was AWFUL. I wished I had blogged about it but let me sum it up for you:
20+ people and 2 non-dedicated servers. I basically served our table by pouring water/tea/beverages and grating cheeses. I had to tip them (gratuity included) which made me mad.
So this time, we had asked them in advance to get the table ready/salad/food. Everything was okay at this point. Drinks were served correctly and people got what they had ordered. The only people who got screwed were the ones who ordered the unlimited soups, salads, and bread sticks. Guess what... our waiter NEVER CAME BACK UNTIL THE END! I had to fetch a wait staff and asked where the hell our waiter was.
Our waiter came back, but guess what - he handed out checks?! LIKE WTF! I, along with others who had the soup special, wanted more soup. He was rushing us out - asshat.
I asked 3 times for my soup but the waiter were serving other people?! Let's back up about this. If there are 26 people at a table, shouldn't you wait only on that table? Common sense said you should, I guess this douche along with his manager missed that. I was thoroughly pissed off.
When I got my check, i asked do I really have to pay for his shoddy service and unfortunately I had to. WHATEVER.
OH! I mentioned that was raining today when we all went for lunch. For those of you who don't know, this Olive Garden depends on natural light to illuminate the room. Well, the room looked like a dungeon and you couldn't see the table! I guess that's why our waiter couldn't serve us because he couldn't see that I, along with others needed to be served. Next time, if there is a next time, I'll bring candles and assless chaps.
I've been to Olive Garden with a group of 4 people and the service was pretty good but if you're thinking about bringing half of the office to dine here, think somewhere else until these asshats here figure out how to do things right. I wish I had wiped the receipt with my ass and that I had Indian food the previous night.
